This past summer, I went up to Eagle’s Cove, an Aboriginal Ministry Centre, in Thunder Bay. I would have to say, that it was one of the most heart-breaking, yet indescribable experiences of my life.
Pictures are worth a thousand words, and even those, I don’t think, could express the emotions I feel, even now. I wish I had the words to describe worship, the kids and their roughness, and their open hearts.
Kids are changed by love. I believe that, regardless of where they’ve been and what they’ve been through. A nation is changed by love.
I don’t know if what I feel now was an emotional response to my trip. I hope it isn’t, and I’ll be praying for them. But it’s not over, I believe that! It’s just starting.
But forget all that—
it is nothing compared to what I am going to do.
For I am about to do something new.
See, I have already begun! Do you not see it?
I will make a pathway through the wilderness.
I will create rivers in the dry wasteland.
